Emma is an award-winning photographer specialising in live music, chaos and mayhem. She recently won the BBC Electric Proms Live/Life Competition and was invited to take photos at this new festival.
She studied the prestigious Documentary Photography Course at Newport. It was here that her ongoing fascination with the subjects of reportage and live music was formed.
Emma has a long established working relationship with the BBC where she worked as a Picture Publicist for three years and continues to freelance as a stills photographer. She currently divides her time between the UK and her birthplace of Northern Ireland.
Her work has been published in the national press, NME and Artrocker, as well as on countless music websites. Her early involvement with Artrocker has led to her covering various British and international music festivals, new emerging talent and established acts for the magazine.
She has exhibited with Artshole in Vinopolis, in the Sun and Doves in Camberwell, in a solo show at Belfast Exposed, at Photofusion in Brixton, The Boogaloo in Highgate and with Vivid in the BBC Media Centre.
Her love of travel has taken her all over the world and this passion infuses everything she does. She believes she may be one of the world's first fancy-dress photographers.
